HOT videos...in a news channel??

oooohhhhh! Aaj Tak is such an amazingly HOT channel..its so appropriate for people across all genres and age groups to watch india's leading news channel.....why should i watch anything else? it has sports, jokes, khali, bollywood, and now porn as well.....

Hindi News Channels:The assault continues!

the sad part, really, is that even after all this, media planners and marketing folks like me keep aside some budget for these channels....dont see things improving at all....in fact, even ndtv india or ibn 7 have started following such an approach now...guess it was bound to happen, when you have "news" being shown 24*7..

2 years back, when i was in new york, there was a breaking news story on prime time on fox news, which was about a cat caught on a tree, that had the most advanced nation in the world watching the 'rescue' operation live for an hour.....so ultimately firemen had to come and rescue the cat from the tree...i couldnt help but think then that how dumb can a country get? 

unfortunately, the country widely recognized as amongst the brainiest in the world is now following the same path.

The crap that Aaj Tak doles out!

I hate Aaj Tak. I hate Star News. I hate India TV.
I hate to read that these are the 3 most viewed hindi news channels.

imagine my shock when aaj tak went about showing a "special" episode this saturday at 16.30, which was all about how cam girls are using cameras strategically placed in their homes, luring people to watch them do all sorts of 'things' throughout the day, once you pay through your credit card.

Is it breaking news?
Is it suitable to be played in the afternoon on a weekend?
Is it news that adds some value to the general public?

Is a news channel now only about pandering to your basic instincts?

Why create a website when no one will ever come to it?
This URL (http://www.saatmanjilasrisanatandharammandir.com/) I saw on a hoarding...its a temple near my place in delhi...
i was appalled to see such a long URL...who will recall? and why on a hoarding??
and when i finally got the courage to visit the site, my worst fears came trues..have a look at the screenshot what the site contains...

I tried to think for a very long time, and the only 2 things that were common between my swift and this bentley were: both were black, and both nameplates started with DL....
pure aspiration, when u are forced to follow this beauty for a few kms on the delhi gurgaon expressway...

Dabbawallah!

Aajkal ke youngsters kitna bojh uthate hain apne kandhon par..right from when we're 3, we get used to carrying kilos on our shoulders..carrying all the notebooks and books to school, and carrying them back home...
this man...looks like he is well-fed! or maybe he is just a delivery boy a.k.a. dabbawallahs.....

some proofs that suggest how journalism is going down down down...

the sad part is that for people like us, who need to figure out their media plans, you still have to consider these channels in your mix, as the overrated and faulty system of TRPs or basing a 20000 cr industry on basis of data of 7000 is the only option we have...

or as aaj tak may air a breaking news around this word which says: "Aaj ek jangli saand ne 3 baar tatti kar ke sabko chaunka diya. roz 1 baar tatti karne waali is saand ne aakhir aaj 3 baar kyun ki? is hairat andez karnaame ki kuch exclusive tasveere sirf aur sirf aaj tak par. jaiyega nahi, haazir hote hain ek break ke baad"

BREAKING NEWS: Khali ki khalbali

I am feeling very lucky indeed. Today was one of those days when i was at home during the day, and with nothing better to do, i went about couch potatoing. and in one of those insane moments, Aaj Tak happened...

Now publicly i have never written against aaj tak or star news or india tv, the top 3 hindi news channels of india. the only reason i never write was because i found them all unworthy of deserving my attention...but i really couldn't help but pause, and take a snap of what was coming as prime time and breaking news....have a look


I am alarmed at the level of journalism being explored by these channels these days. all possible limits of sanity are being experimented with, all in the name of masala for the users. but i guess this had to happen one fine day. u cant really run these channels 24 hours if you do not show crap like this. takes me back a couple of years to new york, when fox news was airing at prime time a live coverage of a cat which had got stuck on a tree. and then they had to call the firemen who finally saved the poor animal that had become the object of fascination for the most "advanced" nation in the world. fuck it, i dont care. if this is what they want, then this is what they get. all i know is that I do not want it, and hence i swear to stay away from this load of hogwash, and contribute in my little way to not let such channels rule the TRPs...
